Synopsis on Udyog Ratna (A Monitoring system for Directorate of Industries)

 

 

Objectives: The District Industries Centres (DIC)s located at the district headquarters of the state has to submit the performances and achievements on a monthly basis to the State Directorate of Industries (DI), in terms of physical progress and financial parameters, with respect to the various schemes under State Plan and centrally sponsored schemes. These reports are submitted in some predefined formats containing information on the following areas:

 

         Monthly Progress report on Twenty Point Programme (TPP)

         Monthly progress report on  Prime Minister’s Rojgar Yojana (PMRY)

         Quarterly progress report on  Prime Minister’s Rojgar Yojana (PMRY)

         Monthly Report on Industrial Policy (IP)

         Monthly Expenditure Statement – Plan & Non-Plan

 

The Directorate of Industries in turn compiles and consolidates the reports received from the DICs and reports to concerned departments of the State Department as well as Govt. of India. In the whole system the information about the achievement report etc from the  DICs required to be maintained manually which involves large number of files and registers and involved inherent delay in this operation. Accordingly it was decided to develop the software on Udyog Ratna  in the Office of the Director Industries.

 

This is a web-based online system developed using ASP and MS SQL Server which help the GM DICs (District Industries Centre)  to enter monthly progress reports on various schemes like:

 

The data thus entered is available to the DI (Director Industries) and GM DICs.Different Queries and reports can be generated from the system

 

 

Features

§                 IT helps  faster flow of data from District Industries Centre and processing of information at Directorate of Industries which will help in taking quick decisions

 

§                 Login option to the applications by various districts, Directorates of Industries to generate various related reports.

§                 There are validation checks at each row level   while entering data.

§                 The various DICs can enter data on monthly basis and also can generate the reports for each month for each of the scheme proforma wise.

§                 The application is web based and so can be accessed by the user with valid user id and password from anywhere/anytime .
